Alice Springs Family Day Care Inc is currently seeking interest from people who are creative and energetic and want to be part of a professional child care team. Pre-service training is provided, along with ongoing professional development and support.

If you have a desire to run your own business from home, and are seeking a personal and professional challenge, this could be the career choice for you.

We require Carers that can provide either:
- full-time care
- part-time care
- shift work
- evenings and weekends
- care in the child’s home

Those interested will need a Senior First Aid Certificate, or ability to obtain.

We regularly run 6 day Carer Inductions. If you are interested in applying for a place on an induction, please contact us on 89523406 for more information and to arrange an interview.

Prerequisites
Maturity and life experience are essential attributes, therefore it is essential that applicants be at least 18 years.
You, and all persons 18 years and over residing in your home, must pass a National Criminal History Check.
You will need a Senior First Aid Certificate – if you do not have one we can assist you with details of where to book.
Home telephone is essential and a mobile is also recommended.
You should have a fenced outdoor play area.
Your home will need to under go a home safety inspection.
We will provide you with pre-service training (Carer Induction)
We will help you arrange public liability insurance.
You will need to have some smoke alarms, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit in your home.

Please note: These expenses are tax deductions, and the cost will be recouped quite quickly once you start caring.

It is also an asset if you have a current driver’s licence, and access to your own vehicle.
