Hanging Butterflies

These look great hanging around the room or outside in the garden.

Ingredients:

Egg cartons – broken into 2 cups
Strips of cellophane
Pipe cleaners
Texta’s
Masking tape
String or fishing line

Method:

Place 2 holes on the top of 1 egg cup and get the children to place the pipe cleaners into the holes (these are antennas).

Draw a face on the same cup as the antennas.

Crunch the cellophane in the middle and place on egg cup (not the cup with the antennas) and tape with masking tape.

Place string or fishing line around the middle of the butterfly for hanging.

The egg cups could also be painted before being decorating. It will need time to dry before placing wings, antenna and face on.
