Finger Painting
On a clean, washable surface (a table top is perfect) squirt some shaving cream for each child. Encourage them to play and spread the cream, experiencing the slimy texture. As they play add some colour (food colouring, or powder paint are ideal), and encourage them to mix colours to form new colours. If the children want, place paper on top of their designs and take a print.
Shaving Face
Blow up a balloon for each child, and have the child draw on a face with permanent markers. (You might need to help younger children) Give each child a pop stick. Coat the ‘face’ with shaving cream and have the children shave it off with the pop stick. Great for fine motor skill development!!
Squishy, Squeezy Fun
You will need a snap lock bag for each child. Add shaving cream and seal it VERY tightly. Encourage the children to squeeze it and squish it - you can change the colour by using food colouring or powder paint. This is a fun, low maintenance experience - unless you forget to seal the bag!!!
