Uncoloured Playdough, food colouring
Method:
Roll uncoloured playdough into small balls. Use your finger to make a hold in ball and put a few drops of food colouring in. Close up hold by manipulating playdough. Use a different colour for each ball. Offer balls to children and tell them there is a surprise insude and they will need to squish the balls with their fingers to find it. Discuss with children they they are in control of how the colour is distributed through the playdough. Suggest squishing two balls together and watch the colours mix to form a new one.
