Buried Treasure

Resources:
Large laundry tub, sand, shells, wooden cubes, plastic animals, plastic containers, plastic shovels.

Method:

Fill a large laundry tub with sand and bury items such as shells, wooden cubes, plastic animals. Invite children to dig in sand to find hidden items. Encourage children to put items that are the same into different containers when found. Eg. items of the same colour, shape etc.
